I have been to many Zoological Parks across India, but I must say there is no Zoo like Jambu Zoo. It is a fine mix of a Zoo and a Nature walk. Amazing experience, Must visit place in Jammu

From a 2.4 Hectares Mini Zoo in Manda, to a 163 hectares Splendid Jambu Zoo in Nagrota, The Department of Wildlife Protection, Jammu and Kashmir has taken a giant leap towards care and conservation of Wildlife in the state.
The main idea behind the Jambu Zoo was to create an inclusive environment in order to entertain, educate the public with a strong emphasis on research and creating a connect between general public and wildlife and also to support the local economy with increased tourism in the region.
Located on NH44, just before IIT Jammu, Jambu Zoo is perfectly located for travellers travelling to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine or to Kashmir Valley.
One of it’s kind, Jambu Zoo is spread across Himalayan foothills making it is a nature lover’s paradise.
